In an era of mass production and flat-pack furniture shipped from across the globe, there is something uniquely reassuring about buying British. When it comes to a good night’s sleep, cutting corners simply isn't an option.
At Beds on Legs, we have always believed that the foundation of a beautiful bedroom starts with quality manufacturing. That is exactly why we are incredibly proud to stock Giltedge Beds—a brand that perfectly embodies the enduring power of British craftsmanship.
Here is a look behind the scenes at why home-grown manufacturing still wins every time, and why a Giltedge bed is an investment that truly pays off.
When you choose a British-made mattress or bed base from Giltedge beds, you aren't just buying a piece of furniture; you are investing in decades of honed expertise. Unlike automated factory lines overseas that churn out thousands of identical, synthetic mattresses per day, Giltedge relies on skilled artisans who understand the nuances of sleep comfort. From the precise hand-tufting that keeps premium fillings securely in place to the careful stitching of the mattress borders, human hands oversee the process to ensure every single item meets rigorous quality standards.
British craftsmanship doesn't mean staying stuck in the past. Giltedge perfectly blends traditional manufacturing methods with cutting-edge sleep science.
Advanced Pocket Springs: Designed to contour to your body shape and eliminate motion transfer, giving you undisturbed sleep.
KoreGel Cooling Technology: Perfect for hot sleepers, this innovative gel layer regulates body temperature throughout the night.
Luxury Natural Fillings: Sourced responsibly to ensure breathability, durability, and a plush feel.
By manufacturing locally, Giltedge can tightly control their supply chain, ensuring that every layer of foam, spring, and fabric is up to par.
