My personal love of Coastal Bedrooms stems from childhood memories of days out at the seaside. I think as a nation we have a great love of our coastal shores and communities. It does not matter weather it is paddling in the sea, playing in the sand or walking along a promenade with an ice cream in hand, these memories invoke a feeling of the best times! We have many bed frames which would suit a Coastal Bedroom look. Here are a few examples which we think stand out from the crowd.
This Julian Bowen Harmony Bed comes in a fabulous Stone White finish. The panelled headboard and foot board is reminiscent of panelled beach huts, perfect for this look!
With just a few key accessories you can bring the beach front into your home no matter what your view is. Wicker baskets, lanterns and a mix of sea themed printed fabrics.
This Bentley Atlanta Low Foot End Bed reminds us of a New England Beach House look. The red, white and blue colour theme is fun, we especially like the gingham check fabric and Union Jack cushion! The Bentley Atlanta Bed is made to an exceptional standard as you would expect from Bentley Designs.
Here we have the Harrison Ottoman Bed in Texture Cream. Not only does this bed look super stylish, it also keeps your bedroom in order. The storage base is 21cm deep to allow all of your bits and bobs to be hidden away. We love how the deep ocean blue accessories sit harmoniously against the cream fabric finish.
The Julian Bowen Geneva Fabric Bed would look even better with shades of navy blue soft furnishings strewn across it. You can introduce colour in other ways to; lighting and ceramics are a great way to add colour. Introduce coastal themed wall paper such as pigeon prints or vast sky prints.
The Sofia Bed comes in a cream linen effect fabric. The tall headboard and turned wooden feet are striking features which make the Sofia special. We think the Sofia Bed could take some dynamic decoration in terms of bedding or wallpaper. Consider how fabulous oversized seashells and lanterns would look. Whilst we love a mix of natural and blue shades we also love shots of colour like the coral in the wall paper below.
Coastal Bedrooms will benefit from well thought out furniture choice. You do not want your stylish new bedroom to be ruined by theme destroying knick knacks. Pictured below is the Harrogate furniture range which has a crisp Ivory finish enhanced by the natural beauty of oiled oak solids and veneers.
