Are Some Ottoman Beds Easier to Lift Than Others?

Whilst all our ottoman beds feature gas pistons some are easier to lift than others. The reason for this is that some of our beds have two pistons and some have four. As you might have guessed, the ottoman beds with four pistons are slightly easier to lift. Do The Pistons Ever Stop Working?

You may be concerned that pistons can stop working. After all, lifting one of these beds open would be somewhat problematic without them. You’ll be pleased to know that the pistons rarely fail. However, should this situation arise, we are always happy to send out replacements so you can get using your bed again.

One of the most common concerns that people have when they first receive their bed is that it won’t seem to close. However, the solution to the problem is really simple. Indeed, most people don’t realise that in order for the gas pistons to work properly they need to have the mattress on the bed. Without the weight of the mattress, the bed will remain open and is extremely difficult to close.
