We bought this bed for our 5 year old who is absolutely loving his new 'big boy bed'. It looks great and is practical too. We tricked it out with LED back lights and he's very excited.
Not so impressed with the construction though, its flimsy and easily damaged during construction or moving.
Each side consists of the front and back legs which are load-bearing, and a decorative panel between these. These are not well thought out and caused issues during construction.
Side panels are attached between the front and back leg with only 3 cam lock screws on each side. The panel/legs are all just MDF, so once the cam locks are in place, if there is any sideways movement of the panel the cam lock screws just tear out, shredding the MDF. This exact thing happened during construction, a light bump caused the unsecured side panel to wobble a bit, the cams ripped out and panel fell over onto another piece that was held in place only by dowels, which were snapped off inside the frame. I salvaged the build, but I had to add extra screws and brackets of my own. This was hard because the leg and side panels are not flush on the interior side of the bed frame, I had to improvise.
Even if I had not damaged it during the build, once constructed there is no stability to keep the bed frame square, so the same thing could happen when simply moving the bed around. I think there should be brackets provided to reinforce the side panels, and make the internal corners of the bed frame more rigid.

I did a fair amount of research into buying a wooden ottoman - and decided this bed was the best compromise of quality vs cost. You can pay a lot for a solid wood bed - this one is solid wood and wood veneer for some pieces, and Beds On Legs offered the best deal for this model. It's properly sturdy and well finished. The lifting mechanism makes access easy. Delivery went as promised - good communication plus delivery to the room of choice. Construction took approx. 2.5 hours, instructions were okay - only one bit was a bit confusing. I would buy from them again, service and product both definitely deserve 5 stars.
This is a beautiful well made bed. We are so pleased with it. The storage underneath is huge.
We had one small issue, one of the screw holes the fabric hadnt been drilled, but we managed to do this ourselves.
Also there customer service is excellent. I highly recommend this company.
This bed is absolutely gorgeous got the plush velvet coffee colour ottoman lift . The customer service prior to delivery was excellent and the delivery people were amazing put the bed together quickly and took everything away with them from the old bed . So happy will definitely buy from here again.
