Deliveries
Here at Beds on Legs all items are delivered free of charge within England including the Isle of White, Wales and Scotland (excluding the post codes in the exclusion from free delivery section listed below).
If you are in the Scottish highlands, Isle of Man or Northern Ireland, or one of the post codes listed in the exclusion from free delivery section our couriers charge a nominal fee for this service (* Please see these exclusions listed below), please contact us on 01482 576771 to check the charge. We do not deliver to Ireland, the Channel Islands, Isle of Lewis, Isle of Skye, Shetlands, Outer Hebrides, Orkney Islands.
Security Procedures
Please note that if you pay on a card that is not registered to the delivery address, we will require verification of your invoice address, there are a few ways we can do this:
- We can post an invoice to the invoice address and when you have confirmed the code displayed on that invoice we can arrange delivery to the delivery address.<br>
- We can also verify that the customer is the card holder through two forms of identification registered to the invoice address. These can bed faxed to 01482 573771 or e-mailed to bedsonlegs@yahoo.co.uk.
- If the telephone number at your invoice address is registered with directory enquiries we can confirm it with them and call you there to verify the tranaction with the card holder at the registered address.
Exclusions on free delivery
The following post codes in Scotland normally incurr a delivery charge of £30.00:
AB post codes, FK19-21, HS, IV1-56, KA27-28, KW, PA20-78, PH9, PH15-44.
Isle of Man post codes incur a charge of £60
Northern Ireland: Price on Application
Please note delivery is not available on a next day service to these areas
We can not upgrade deliveries to an AM to the following post codes:
England & Wales: TR21-25, IM1-9.
Scotland: AB post codes, FK19, HS, IM1-9, IV1, IV3-56, DD8-11, EH38, EH43-46, FK8, G63, G83-84, IV2, PH8, PH10-11. We do not deliver to the Channel Islands, Isle of Lewis, Isle of Skye, Shetlands, Outer Hebrides, Orkney Islands
Delivery times
Please note free delivery is available on a mutually agreed specified day between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. However the following service upgrades are available on the majority of items.
- AM DELIVERY £5.00 charge (some areas can not have an AM delivery see below for exclusion areas)
- SATURDAY AM DELIVERY £20.00 charge
All items are delivered to the outside of the customers door (our contractors can only delivery to ground floor level unless pre-arranged with the customer when the item is purchased) therefore the customer needs to make suitable arrangements to move the items to their required location.
Certain items are delivered on an upgraded two man delivery service to the room of yourchoice, a few items are listed below:
- All drawered divans over £500
- All 6' Super Kingsize Mattresses
- All 6' Super kingsize non vacuum packed mattresses over £500.
If you would like your item to be taken to the room of your choice upstairs or downstairs and it is not listed above we can arrange this for an extra charge of £20. On this service delivery days take place between Monday-Friday, the days available may vary depending on your location.
Please note:
- Both Beds on Legs/ the contractor and the personnel of Beds on Legs/ the contractor will not accept liability for any damage both to the delivered product and to the customers property, (including all types of fixtures, fittings and building structure), whilst assisting the customer with delivery to the room of choice. The customer must solely take responsibility for this action. Any consequent damage should fall under the customer's household insurance.
- Beds on Legs contracted deliveries will not set up your item, all bedsteads are flat pack and require assembling.
- All upgraded delivery charges must be arranged and paid for in full prior to delivery.
- Please note that all upgraded services are non-refundable.
- Please note were a delivery/collection date has been agreed with the carrier and the buyer, and the buyer is not present, the seller reserves the right to charge the buyer a minimum of £10 to cover the cost of the failed delivery/ Collection.
- Please be aware for health and safety issues delivery drivers are unable to remove their shoes when delivering products into customers houses. If you need to protect your flooring please make sure an adequate cover has been placed on the floor prior to the delivery driver arriving.
